Our restored 1948 McCormick-Deering W6 in original condition, it was brought up from the South Island and one of our first to be restored. We are the second owners. The original owner, D.G. Ivey from Mayfield bought it in 1948 from the International Harvester factory in Christchurch. Attached to it was a GLV025 6' semi mounted mower. (his brother (and neighbour) at the same time, bought a McCormick-Deering WD9, they drove the 90 miles home,together.. .o.
Hello, welcome to Red Antiques
The site has been set up out of a life long interest in Vintage Machinery.
Following in my ancestors footsteps has been a real buzz - Great grandfather farmed at Makauri, on the Poverty Bay flats.
Grandfather drove a McCormick-Deering W6.
Having operated and driven mainly Farmall and IH machinery on our farm in Repongaere, Patutahi, that's where my main interest lies.
We have 6 restored Farmalls,
